Hi everybody, I’m Professor Suzie Quinones. it is a pleasure to meet you!. I will begin now. Plants have different parts, and each part has an important job!

  • Roots grow under the ground. They hold the plant in place and drink water from the soil.

  • Stem is like the plant’s body. It holds the plant up and carries water to other parts.

  • Leaves grow on the stem. They use sunlight to help the plant make its own food.

  • Flowers can be colorful and pretty. They help plants make new seeds.

  • Seeds can grow into brand-new plants.

All of the plant parts work together to help a plant grow strong and healthy!

Plant Needs

Plants need a few important things to grow strong and healthy: sunlight, water, air, and soil.

  • Sunlight gives plants energy to make their own food.

  • Water helps plants grow and travel from the roots to the leaves.

  • Air helps plants make food, too.

  • Soil holds the plant in place and gives its roots water and nutrients.

Plants also need room to grow. When plants have what they need, they can grow tall, make leaves and flowers, and stay healthy!bbc+1
