What I made for Breakfast Yesterday
Yesterday was a long day for me. I woke up at 5am. I got up and went to the bathroom to brush my teeth. I then decided to make a cup of coffee so I grabbed a Keurig coffee pod and inserted it into the Keurig coffee machine. The coffee poured out that rang out with a sputtering sound. . I added some coffee creamer to my coffee. I do not drink sugar in my coffee so I did not add any. I made some oatmeal with blueberries for breakfast. I heated the water for the oatmeal in my tea kettle. After the water started to boil I mixed the water with the oatmeal and stirred. I toasted two pieces of white bread. I spread butter on the warm bread until it melted evenly. I then all of a sudden began to get this urge to want to some scrambled eggs. I went to the refrigerator and scanned the second shelf for the eggs. I almost over looked the eggs because they were hidden in the back of the fridge behind the goat milk and Monterey Jack cheese. I proceeded by gently hitting/bashing the eggs on the side of the counter. I poured the eggs in a small round transparent bowl and then whisked the eggs to a thin liquidity consistency. I added a pinch of salt and then ground some black pepper into the eggs. After preparing the eggs for the cooking part I snatched an old cast iron frying pan from the bottom shelf and turned on the pilot on the stove. I then put the pan on the stove. I cut a piece of butter off of the butter stick directly into the warm/heated pan. I used a spatula to move the eggs around with the butter so the eggs would not burn and become dry. I cooked the eggs for about 5 minutes and then used the spatula to put the eggs directly on the plate. The eggs were steaming hot and gave me the much needed protein my breakfast was missing. I would recommend this breakfast to anyone who has about 20-30 minutes to prepare breakfast before commuting to work.
